On September 3, 1979, Catina Rose Salarno, was senselessly murdered “execution style” at the University of the Pacific in Stockton on her first day of college. She was only 18 years old.
Years later, this cruel and unfortunate event fueled a social change. The result - Crime Victims United.
Through Harriet’s leadership (Catina's mother), Crime Victims United is recognized as the Nation’s most trusted victims’ rights advocacy group today.
Crime Victims United offers many resources and programs to help support the victims of crime and their families.
